    Henry Martin, 78, a resident of near Athens, practically his whole life, died early Tuesday morning at his home in Lodi, near Cleveland. Dr. W. H. Martin of Detroit, Mich., his son, will arrive today to make funeral arrangements. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at one o’clock probably at the M.E. church, The Plains, the definite place to be announced Wednesday.
    The deceased is survived by the following sons and daughters Dr. Martin, Detroit; Robert H. Martin f arm agent, Gallipolis; Fred Martin, Lodi; Mrs. Katherine Hull, Mrs. Gordon Ensminger, Columbus; Miss Nell Martin and Miss Addie Martin, at home. There are also left eight grand children. The deceased was a brother of the later Peter Martin of Athens.
    Mr. Martin spent the first 45 years of his life at The Plains later moving to Athens. For a time he lived in the suburbs of Columbus and later moved to Lodi where the last five years of his life were spent.

    The body of Henry Martin arrived this afternoon over the Hocking Valley road from his home in Lodi, near Cleveland and were taken to the Daughman undertaking parlors. The funeral cortege will leave there Thursday at 12:30 for The Plains, where services will be held at the M.E. church and interment in The Plains cemetery.

    Henry Martin, 78, died at his home in Lodi, near Cleveland.
