This son William may be the same as the surviving son William, if the death record turns out to be erroneous, since the surviving son's age in a deposition would fit the date given to this son, but that deposition is 60+ years later, i.e., not contemporary to the birth. Based on what is found in the Salisbury records, the birth record is recorded in the section of births in an appropriate spot, and the death is recorded in the section of deaths in an appropriate spot, no mother is named in the death record unlike the birth record so uses a different form, and there is a 4 1/2 year gap until the next recorded child is born. So plenty of time for an unrecorded child to be born. The later copy (the "another copy" links above) claims to be (here) "true copies of the first two book of the original records" (emphasis added), suggesting the main citations are original.
