Facts and Events
Name William Marshall
Gender Male
Christening[1] 14 Jun 1730 Luton, Bedfordshire, England

William Marshall was baptised on 14th June 1730 at Luton in Bedfordshire. The baptism record says he was the son of Simon and Sarah Marshall, although it seems that the Luton parish registers at this time were calling the same couple sometimes Joseph / Josiah and Sarah too. A William son of Simon and Sarah Marshall had been buried at Luton six days earlier. William has yet to be traced after his baptism.

For discussion on William's parents' names see the family page. Both the rough and fair copy versions of the parish registers and the bishop's transcript agree that there was a William Marshall buried on 8th June 1730 and another baptised on 14th June 1730. It's possible that all three records transposed the dates.
