He lived at 1314 E. 8th, Topeka, his entire life, when his mother died he & Anne bought the home and rebuilt it ca1930. He retired around 1959.

    Obituary - TOPEKA DAILY CAPITOL, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 1972

    William E. Magnuson 80, 1314 E. 8th, died Tuesday night in a Topeka hospital where he was readmitted earlier Tuesday. He had been a patient in the same hospital from July 22 to July 26 and again from Sept. 18 to Oct. 3. He had a heart ailment.

    He was born May 6, 1892 in Topeka where he spent his life. He was a member of East Topeka United Methodist Church. He was a truck driver for Consumer Sand Co. about 40 years before he retired.

    He was married to Anne Olson March 8, 1917 in Topeka. She died March 3, 1972. A daughter Elizabeth Magnuson, died in 1927.

    Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Ann Louise Navarre, 536 N.E. Edgewood Drive; two sons Gerald N. Magnuson, 5322 N.E. Early Court, and John W. Magnuson, Florissant, Mo.; five grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

    Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
