(The Eaged Father mentioned in the will is apparently one JAMES LOVE whose will is recorded in Charleston, S.C. Wills, Vo. PP, pp. 291-292. James Love names sons THOMAS, JOHN, and JAMES, and a daughter JEAN and a son-in-law Adam McCool. The will is dated 8 Apr 1760, and executors were qualified 2 May 1760. The tracts granted to William Love are in present Union and Chester Counties, S.C.)
[edit] Information on William LoveHe left land to his father in will of 1753. Witnesses are Benjamin and Robert Love. Inventory of William's estate by brother-in-law Adam McCool. It appears that he was in Lunnenburg County, VA for a time. He also witnessed a will for his brother in S.C. 1753 William Love 400 acres in Anson Co. on south side of Broad River, being the place he now lives. Will is on pages 3-4 Vol. 1 #2 12/53-1/54 Love Family Quarterly. Recorded in the Anson County, N.C. Record of Wills Book 1, page 20. Filed at Wadesboro, N.C. is the oldest known Love will in N.C. Notes by Inez A. Love state that William never married due to the fact that he died at age 23. Notes by Jean Ann Ables-Flatt state that both William and Joseph werekilled by Indians at Fort Roanoke, VA in 1758. References
