William Herschel Livvix, 78, Dennison, died at 11 a.m. Friday (May 7, 1999) at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. He was a retired iron worker.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with the Rev. Paul Burress and the Rev. Steve Bramlett officiating. Burial followed in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post #5975 and Clark County Post #90 of the American Legion. Visitation was held Sunday and this morning at the funeral home.
Mr. Livvix was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Clark County, the son of Hurley and Lela Ingle Livvix of Coatesville, Ind. He first married LaFern Crumrin who preceded him in death on July 11, 1992. He later married Mardee Travioli.
Survivors include his wife, Mardee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Pat Livvix of Coatesville, Ind. and Jack and Susan Livvix of Marshall; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Bob Lehman of Carmel, Ind.; a daughter, Jeanna Livvix of Dennison; four step daughters, Jerri haynes of Dennison, Marticia Shipp of Conroe, Texas, Tina Knight of Nashville, Tenn., a step daughter and husband, Heather and Tim Andrews of Willis, Texas; a brother, Louis Livvix of Dennison; a sister, Margaret Swafford of West Union; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, John, in 1993.
Mr. Livvix was a member of Ironworkers Local #439 for 55 years and was instrumental in the formation of the Dunlap Water District. He was an Army Veteran of WW II.
