Idaho Death Certificate 19931, GSF 1509303, Died of cerebral hemorrage reportedly due to attack with bottle or board by inmate of sanitorium. Attack also attributed to farmer who was not happy with William's handling of irrigation turns, William was inmate of sanitorium due to previous attack of tuberculosis.

Linnie Cox Evans said of William... "He worked for Empey's ranch as a sheep foreman, where he met Elmina, whose sister Lucy was married to an Empey boy. They courted, married and came back to Snowville. William was always committed to tithing. Even though it was very difficult to dry farm in that area and suffered much financial hardship. He would pay his tithing even before the crops were harvested."
