Facts and Events
BRATTRVEILER is almost certainly a mispelling of the name of the village. While "weiler" in German is pronounced "veiler", it is generally not spelled with a "V". The "R" following BRATT is probably an error also. "weiler" is a common suffix for place names in the Palatinate. Weiler means a hamlet. "Rhenish Bavaria" is another name for the area known as the Palatinate. The Palatinate really has nothing to do with the Kingdom of Bavaria, other than a brief rule by Bavarian kings. --White Creek 10:31, 8 August 2012 (EDT) Image Gallery
