Wm. Lanter, who lived near Doylesville, Madison county, died on Monday, of last week of inflammation of the stomach. Funeral services by Rev. J. L. Wills. Several years ago the deceased was arrested by the U. S. officials for violation of the internal revenue laws and the nervous excitement produced by his arrest caused every particle of his hair and beard to fall out and it never grew again.
