Believed to be the same person reported as a Private in the Colonial Soldiers of the South, 1732-1174, Gooch's American Regiment, 1739-1741, pp. 238-239. Assumed here to be the same William Kinnick who served as Sergeant/Sergeant Major in War of the Revolution. Per Maryland Court Record of 1733, he would be age 15 in April 1734. Therefore, born April 1719. Presumably born at Poplar Hill or nearby Brightwell plantation, in Prince George's Co.

Son of Jasper Kennick and Elizabeth Brightwell, she a daughter of Captain Richard Brightwell. Based on Early Families of Southern Maryland, Volume 3, Elise Greenup Jourdan, pp. 295-6. Also, From "Orphans and Infants of Prince George's County 1896-1750" June 1733, from Keith Brightwell by email, 8 mar 1999. (Was using Apr 1719, Prince GeorgeÕs Co, MD) Now believe this is unlikey, will use Jan 2001 draft analysis information until shown otherwise.
