William T. Kerr dies in His 37th Year- Funeral to be Saturday

William T. Kerr, aged 37 years, instructor of mathematics at Trenton Senior High School and widely known in various circles here, died suddenly last evening after a very brief illness. Mr Kerr had taught his school classes until Monday, when he was stricken with a stomach ailment. He was removed to St. Francis Hospital and a serious operation was performed but the patient failed to rally. With his wife, Mrs. Anna C.Kerr, and their five young children, Mr. Kerr resided at 260 Highland Avenue. The oldest child, William J. Kerr, aged 15, is known as a capable elocutionist, having recited at many important events here. The other children are Alexander, Margaret J., Anna C., and Katherine M. Kerr. A brother, George Kerr, of Elizabeth, also survives. Mr. Kerr was born at Elizabeth, son of the late Alexander, a building contractor, and Jane Kerr. After graduating from Batton High School, Elizabeth, Mr. Kerr was engaged in a survey of New Jersey railroads and canals for the State Board of Taxes and Assessment. Later he graduated from Penn State College. Settling in Trenton about 14 years ago, he was for a time attached to the engineering division of the John A. Roebling's Sons Company here. For several years past he has been allied with the Trenton School faculty. Of cheerful and friendly nature and possessing a rare sense of humor, Mr. Kerr gained many friends here. Funeral services are to be held on Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at his late residence, with requiem high mass at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament at 9 o'clock. Interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery, under the direction of Murphy.

William T. Kerr, instructor of mathematics at the Trenton High School, husband of Mrs. Anna C. Kerr, who died last Wednesday, was buried yesterday morning from his late home, 260 Highland Avenue. Requiem high mass was celebrated at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament by the Rev. Father Casey, who also accompanied the body to St. Mary's Cemetery, where interment was under direction of Murphy. The bearers were: D. R. White, Charles Weeks, F. W. Kaiser, John Gladen, E.G. Liefelt, A. Matthewson. The funeral of William T. Kerr, well-known instructor at Trenton High School, who died suddenly Wednesday night, will be held from his late home, 260 Richland Avenue, tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at the Blessed Sacrament Church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, under the direction of Murphy. Mr. Kerr, who was 37 years old, was operated upon Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital for a stomach ailment. He failed to rally and death came Wednesday night. He had taught his classes in mathematics at the high school Monday. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Anna C. Kerr; five children, William J. Kerr, Alexander, Margaret J., Anna C., and Katherine M.
