'Kendall, William, was burgess for Northampton county at the sessions of March, 1657-1658, September, 1663, when he is styled lieutenant-colonel, October, 1666, and doubtless all the sessions of the "Long Assembly" until 1676, November, 1683, when he is styled colonel, April, 1684, and November, 1685, when he is styled speaker. His will dated December 29, 1685, was proved July 28, 1686, and names son-in-law Hancock Lee and Mary, his wife, and son William Kendall.'
