In the 1850 census for Richmond, Cass Co., Illinois, William Ishmael is 41, farmer from KY; with Mary 31 PA; William 21 KY; Elizabeth 18 KY; Ann 14 KY; Susan 13 KY; Sarah M. 11 IL; Samuel 9 IL; M. J. 7 (f); Robert S. 2; Charles M. 1; and Richard Overton 19. Next door is James Ishmael 24 with Merinda J. 17. Brother-in-law William Lynn is next door with family.
