Probably chr 3 Jun 1764 Forgan, parents Alexander Ireland and Isobel Young. When son Alexander christened record show him being named after William's brother not father.

William Ireland a warehouseman aged 76 died/buried Dundee 11 Jan 1840. Death cert of son Alexander describes father as Warehousman.

The Keay message board had following "I am a descendant of Elizabeth Keay and William Ireland of Forgan, Fife. They were married in 1790 and lived in Inverdovat, Forgan,Fife. Elizabeth was daughter of Euphemia Terras and William Keay. William was a maltman and master brewer. They later moved to Dundee. My ancestor, James Urquhart Ireland immigrated to Canada. My grandfather, Harold Jack Coyne Ireland immigrated here to Chicago. Hope all are having great luck! John Ireland "
