Our William's parents (source - Bible) were William and Mary
William Horton, born Nov. 14, 1814. married Nancy Norsworthy (daughter of Wm and Sarah) in Montgomery Co, Al, July 22, 1841. He was one of the first to enlist for Civil War but got sick and died in Pensacola, Fl. Sept. 4, 1861 he was 46 yrs old. They lived Butler Co., Ala. They had 9 children.

- William W. "Bill" Sept. 4, 1857 - April 20, 1937 married Lizzie Carter and Sally Taylor, buried Pigeon Creek.
