↑ This date is not found in Groton VRs, not in the cited Holden Genealogy. He died in the service so there is no death record with an age. It is not known where this date comes from. I seems unlikely based on the facts that are known. William is the fourth son, born before Simon and after Nathaniel in 1691 (by age at death). His relationship relative to his sister Rachel is unknown, but she is the only one who could possibly be older than him and this is not assured. Thus an 8 year gap between Nathaniel and him seems unlikely.
