William3 Harris (Daniel2, Thomas1, born in Middletown 17 July 1665, died in February 1751[/2], age 87, and was buried in Old Farm Hill Cemetery there. … Sergeant William Harris was one of the three listers of estates in Middletown for the year 1710. As 'Mr. William Harris of Middletown,' he was commissioned lieutenant of the south company or trainband in October 1716. Jonathan Yeomans was granted administration of his estate on 7 March 1750/1, with William Rockwell as bondsman. The distribution, exhibited on 9 March 1754, named eldest daughter Mary Lay, Sibbil wife of Jonathan Yeomans, Prudence, wife of Daniel Brown, and heirs of William Harris Jr., deceased, only son of Capt. William Harris."
