Dorothy, I am one of the Scotch-Irish Harrises in the South and would really appreciate it if you could tell me if you have more info on John Harris. He is listed in your "Old Harris History Found" as one of the sons of Robert Harris and Dorothy Wylie. It says he moved to Blount County, TN with his 8 children. I am a descendant of John's son, William and yours is the first real clue we have had in awhile. John died in Blount Co. about 1804. William Harris was born 10-9-1779 (not sure if TN or NC) and may have been married to Jane Trippett. Any info you have on this branch of Harrises would be greatly appreciated, Terese Mitchell
