Home in 1910 census: Ingallston Twp., Menominee, MI. According to 1870 census, Father may be a Frank Grun who gives place of birth as “Bohemia” and has a 15-year-old son, William. William later gives the birthplace of his parents as Germany, but this may be since ethnic Germans lived in Bohemia (Sudentland) under the Austrian monarchy. The original surname may be Grüner, Gruen, or Gruhn. A 59-year-old Frank/Franz Gruner emmigrated from Reichenberg in 1854.
