Killed in Toronto by a Streetcar accident. Found three newspaper articles in the Toronto Star, The Globe, and The Telegram. The later two having pictures of William. GORDON-- As a result of accident on Wednesday, August the 2nd, WilliamGordon, age 57 years, beloved husband of Margaret Jarrett. Funeral fromthe home. 320 Lippincott at, Saturday, August the 5th, at 2.30 p.m. Interment Prospect Cemetery.

T.T.C. EMPLOYEE KILLED

Wm. Gordon Was Crushed Between Cars at Younge and Bloor. William Gordon, aged 55, of 320 Lippincott street, a T.T.C. employee, wasfatally injured at 9 o'clock this morning when crushed between two Avenueroad cars at Younge and Bloor streets. He died in Toronto GeneralHospital at 11.15. His pelvis was fractured and there were otherinternal injuries. According to the police, Gordon, who was cleaning aswitch at the corner, moved from the point of safety on which he couldstand, while a southbound Avenue rd. car, driven by Thomas McLaughlin,Davenport rd., turning the corner was passed by a northbound Avenue rd.car driven by E. H. Morrow, 55 Nairn ave. The injured man told DetectiveMcCready that he blamed no one for the accident. Deceased, who was bornin Scotland, had been in Canada eleven years and had worked for theToronto Railway Company for nine years. He is survived by his widow,four sons and three daughters. He was a member of Knox PresbyterianChurch, and was a Liberal in politics. He was well and favorably knownin the northern district. The remains were removed to the City Morgue, where an inquest will be opened this evening.
