    After the previously mentioned William Glass died in Blount County, TN. in early 1806, his orphaned son William Glass choose John Caldwell as his guardian. William’s orphaned son, Samuel Glass, choose James Gilmore as his guardian. William Glass’ will was proven in the Blount County, TN. court on Aug 25, 1806. On Aug 30, 1806, the Blount Co., TN. court appointed John Caldwell & James Gilmore guardians of William Glass’ orphaned children who were identified as: William, Samuel, James, Betty & Inney Glass.
