Dr. William Dednam Fitzhugh (1776-1838), of Fauquier County, Va., married in 1820, Martha Stuart Thornton (c1784-1861). Four children were Frances Thornton B. (c1822-) who married in 1846, Frederick Foote (1802-77); George Warren (1826-73) who married (1) in 1849, Abby Mayo Thom (1830-59), and (2) in 1871, Elizabeth Frances Gray (1838-); Dr. Thomas Lafayette (c1827-49); and William Fitzhugh (d.age19).
