[Most of the papers appear to belong to William Dunsmoor of Lancaster, who died 1784 and had his own probate (Case 18033), and possibly was a nephew of this William Dunsmore. The envelope notes that a will in 1782 was disallowed, but the will is not in the file. Rather it is found in the records vol. 18, p. 529. It was disallowed because it named William Dunsmoor of Lancaster as one of the executors, and the family objected because he was a large creditor, and he and his wife were two of the three the witnesses of the will.]
Will of "William Dunsmore of said Sterling ... yeoman", dated 9 Feb 1782, disallowed 4 Feb 1783, names wife Ruth Dunsmore and her son Hugh Moor; son Oliver Dunsmore; son John Dunsmore; son Joseph Dunsmore; daughter Agnus Sawyer; daughter Marey [Marcy?] Crawford; daughter Elizabeth Bixby; daughter Ruth Haywood; daughter Olive Brown; "servant boy" Almer Goodnow. William Dunsmore Esq'r and Major Ezra Beaman to be executor.
