- Pg. 177. In the name of God Amen I William Davidson Senr. of Blount County and State of Tennessee being in a reasonable State of Health and of Sound mind and disposing Memory for which I thank God and Calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being desirous do dispose of all my worldly Substance as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in manner following and do hereby make this my last will and testament in the first place I desire that all my Just debts to be paid out of my movable property and Secondly I give and bequeath to my Son Samuel C. Davidson that part of land from the lower end of my Survey by the River to the Middle of the Apple orchard then running with course? of Apple trees until it comes opposite a forked poplar which is one of my corners to have and hold all the lands below that line by paying my son Andrew Davidson fifty dollars in one year after my decease and thirdly I give and bequeath to my son William Davidson all the land above the described line to have and to hold and the said William Davidson is to pay his brother Andrew Davidson the sum of seventy five dollars within one year after my decease and within one year after that the said William is to pay the said Andrew the further sum of Seventy five dollars I give and bequeath all my moveable estate and house hold furniture to be equally divided among my three daughters Viz. Catey Walker, Elizabeth Gammell and Rebeckah Walker and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my son Samuel C. Davidson and my Son in law John Walker Executors of this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made in witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and Seventeen.

- The last will & testament of William Davidson decd. was proven by Elliot Holiday and Jacob McGhee two subscribing witnesses thereto who swore that they saw him sign & seal & heard him publish & declare the same to be his last will & testament, that at the time he was of sound and disposing mind and other witnessed the same; Wherefore it was ordered by the Court that the same be received as the last will & testament of the (p. 120) said William Davidson decd. Whereupon came Samuel C. Davidson and John Walker the Executors therein named who entered into bond & were qualified for the faithful execution of said will according to Law. [3]

- At a Court held for Washington County August 23rd, 1782.
- This day came the Parties by their Attornies and thereupon came also a Jury (to-wit) Richard Higgins, Gilbert Watson, Jn. Conner, Jn. Bradley, William Davison, Jas. Vance, Jn. Frazer, Andrew Colvill, Daniel Fullen, Andrew Boyd, Joseph Martin, and William Markland. [5]
- December 22, 1792 Gamble's Station had thirteen militiamen in its garrison under he command of Lieutenant William Ragan. January 29, 1793 Indians from Gamble's station stole three horses belonging to William Davidson. The raids of the Indians caused the settlers to gather at Gamble's Station during 1793 with the intention of invading the Indian settlements on the Little Tennessee River. Governor Blount called on the settlers at Gamble's Station and prevented the invasion of the Indian country.
- 1793, Forts in Early Blount County, TN: The Indians quickly realized the situation and took advantage of it. On January 22, 1793, they killed and scalped John Pates on Crooked Creek. On January 29, they stole three of William Davidson’s horses from Gamble’s Station. [6]
