from: They came to Mara, p. 195: "The Curtin family left Ireland, possibly County Limerick, in the 1840s. In 1846 William Curtin purchased the North 1/2 of Lot 15, Concession 7, Brock Township and with his wife, Anastasia, sold the same property in 1851. Still residents of Brock in 1861, various members of this family moved to Mara in later years." References
