  • per CW pension index: Major + B 134 + B 118 Ind Inf. This doesn't match exactly with his other military records which state he served in Co. A, 134th Ind Inf. - additional verification would be helpful.
  • Note: William's step-brother Alexander also served in the 134th Ind Inf., but in a different company.
