    William Crandall passed away at the home of his son, Won S. Crandall, in Fillmore, November 10, 1941, after several days of illness, at the advanced age of ninety-four. Mr. Crandall suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on the afternoon of October 30th from which he did not recover.
    Mr. Crandall was born at Alfred, Allegany county, on August 7, 1847, the last of ten children of William Crandall and Martha Maxon. He came to Fillmore on November 27, 1884 where he resided until twenty-two years ago when he moved with his son and family to Sonyea. Mr. Crandall had been in failing health for some time but was able to be up and around until he was stricken. He was a member of Oriona Grove Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, of Fillmore and also of Genesee Chapter of R.[F] A. M. at Belfast.
    Mr. Crandall leaves to mourn his loss, the one son and wife; two grandchildren, Mrs. William T. Connolly of New York City and Mrs. Lester M. Russell of Mt. Morris, and two great-grand children, Harold and Dale Connolly of New York.
    Funeral services were held at the home with burial in the Alfred Rural Cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death by sixteen years.
