Had some property - bought several hundred acres of land inCornell Hollow hence the name. He erected a shaving mill. Had an Irishmanto run it. He also erected a grist mill which did good service for manyyears."On 2 May 1804 William H. Cornell and Eleanor of Beekman sold to William Haxton of Beekman a farm of 112 acres.
