On 2 Sep 1738 William Comegys Senior [II] and his wife Ann transferred 113 acres of Buckhill to their beloved son William Comegys Jr [III] for love and affection. On 14 Feb 1757 Hester [Ester] Comegys widow of William Comegys deceased late of Kent County sold her widows dower in Billey's Lott Resurveyed Buck Hill and Billy's Lott Resurveyed to William Comegys [III] son of the above William Comegys. The Kent County Rent Rolls [Tax Grand List] confirm both of these transactions. From 1754 to 1760 William Comegys Sr [II] was charged for 192 acres of Buck Hill and Billy's Lott. For the same time period William Comegys Jr [III] was charged for 112 acres of the same properties. In 1760 their is a note of the transaction from Hester Comegys to William Jr. [Some authors have erroneously combined this William Comegys [II] and his son William [III] into one person.] References
