Dec 11 1959 in Anna Ill. Joel and Sarah are buried in Bridges Cemetery, Johnson Cty Il. After Joel's death, Sarah was married to W. J. Larrison, who preceded her in death. They had the following children: Ray Cochran d in infancy, Wilson Cochran Apr 6 1899 d march 1918 d. in France in WWI. Bryan Cochran d in infancy, Annie Mae Cochran b ca. 1909 m. 1932 to August Stamer. Anna was a teacher in Wright City Mo., Hiram Douglas H.D. Cochran b ca. 1920 Graves Cty Co. attended Murray State College Murrary Ky.

William Carroll Cochran wrote April 24 1898 in letter that his mother- Virgina Barksdale Wade was the first white woman to cross west fork of Clarks River except captives of the Indians. She did this on April 1, l8l8. From the history of Marshall Co. Ky.
