Needs to be confirmed at West Sussex Record Office. This baptism has been linked to the William Cluer who married Sarah Hedgecock on the basis that in the censuses after their marriage William claimed to have been born around 1824 in East Lavant and in the 1861 and 1871 censuses he had his father Matthew living with him.
