[edit] BiographyWilliam Ransom Cady, son of Jonathan Cady, was born on 14 Feb 1798 at Claremont, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, USA.[1] He married Nancy Jemima Washburn circa 1815. [1] He was a farmer in 1850 when he and Nancy appeared on the census of 1850 at Troupsburg, Steuben County, New York. His father was living with him.[2] He appeared on the census of 18 June 1880 at Troupsburgh, Steuben County, New York in the household of his son-in-law, George Sweet, and his daughter, Mahala (Cady) Sweet.[3] 1855 US Census Troupsburg, Steuben, New York - Ramsom Cady head 56, Nancy wife 52, Mahaley daughter 18, Ann B daughter 13.
