    William Britt, born ? ; died Goochland County 1787. Will dated January 4, 1787; proved February 19, 1787. Deed Book 14, 1784-1788, pages 373-375, reel 5. Inventory of estate admitted September 28, 1787, Deed Book 14, pages 426-428. (Typescript of Will attached, Annex A). Based upon Col. Albert S. Britt, Jr's information below he first married _______ Randolph and then Hannah Conoly [2], daughter of Bryant Conoly.

    William Britt and _________ Randolph's children were:

    1. John Britt, born probably between 1745 and 1750, possibly earlier. Marriage May 23, 1770 St. James Northam, Goochland County, VA.. His first child, of whom I've found any record, was born 4 Sept. 1771 (Douglas Register). died after 12 December 1792, on which date he gave his consent for daughter Mary to marry William Johnson (Goochland Co. Marriage Register, 1730-1853, page 49). Died Sep 18, 1797 Licking Hole Creek, Goochland County, VA.. His estate was administered on August 21, 1799.
    2. Mary Britt born probably circa 1747, as she was married to Wyatt Wilkerson 26 December 1765 (Douglas Register).
    3. Hannah Britt, born probably 1749 or 1750. She married Longmire 2 January 1768.

    William Britt and Hannah Conoly's children were:

    4. Elizabeth Britt, born probably 1758, perhaps early in the year because she is listed in the will before Obed., yet her husband, Elijah Christian was born circa 1758 (W.& M. Quarterly, 1st Series, Vol. 15, page 198.)
    5. Obediah Britt, born 12 February 1759 [1][4] married Mary Smith 30th October 1782, Granville Co., North Carolina. Marriage bond signed by Wyatt Wilkerson, his brother-in-law, see above. (Douglas Register for DOB).
    6. Jesse Britt, born 12 May 1761 [1][6]. Not mentioned in the will; probably deceased by 1787.
    7. Jeanie (Jane) Britt, born 21 August 1763. [1][5], married William Mitchell, 21 December 1781. (Goochland Co. Marriage Register, 1730-1853, page 26.)
    8. William Britt, born 14 October 1766 [1][3].
    9. William Britt, born 29 July 1768 [1][2]; married 20 September 1784 to Sarah Poor (Goochland Co. Marriage Register, 1730-1853, page 29.)
