About William Briscoe
William Briscoe of Middlesex County, Virginia was married twice; first, to Mary Knowles (daughter of John Knowles and Mary Broadnaux), bef. 2 Sept. 1680, the widow of Richard Pace (who had died in 1677), and second, to Christian Hill in 1689 (she later married John Vivion, Sr. on 23 Feb. 1703-04).

- 20 SEP 1683 - Land Patent to William Briscoe, 12 acres, James City County. (Land Patent Book 7, p.324)
- 20 OCT 1691 - Land Patent to William Briscoe, 150 acres, Middlesex County, at fork of small branch issuing into Green Swamp. (Middlesex Co, VA Order Book 2, p. 427)
- 7 AUG 1693 - John Pace buys 150 acres from HENRY NICHOLLS in Middlesex County. Land adjacent to ROGER PRITCHET. (Land Patent Book 8, p. 210) (Note: William Briscoe was the step-father of John Pace).
- 2 FEB 1694/5 - I acknowledge to have received of Mr. HENRY NICHOLLS full satisfaction for some land taken by survey away from Mr. Robert Chowning being near, or about, 8 acres and I do oblige myself to discharge them from any claim od the same. /s/ Roger (RP) Pritchet.
