MARTINSBURG, WV: William "Bill" Sherwood Bright, 85, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away April 11, 2010 at Care Haven Center in Martinsburg.

He was born April 23, 1924 in Mifflin, OH a son of the late Martin Luther and Grace Doerrer Bright. He was lovingly known as "Uncle Bill" while he was owner of Uncle Bill's Market and Bright's Fur House in Warsaw and Pierceton, IN. He was a Lutheran by faith.

He is survived by two sons, Timothy Kline of Paradise, CA and Thomas Bright of Mansfield, OH; five daughters, Deanna Dean Bright of Paradise, CA, Nancy Lee Carr and Darlene Ann Bright of Mansfield, OH, Marry Lou Llewellen of Ashland, OH, and Billie June Keaffaber of Martinsburg, WV; one brother, Charles David Bright of Ashland, OH; two sisters, Mary Lou Myers and Marta Belle Bolen of Ashland, OH; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Myers Bright; one daughter, Linda Bright; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandchild.

Services will be held 7 p.m. on Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, WV. Entombment will be Saturday in Sunset Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday from 2-7 pm. at the funeral home.

William Sherwood Bright inheritated a sawmill from his father and ran it with his wife Virginia Lee Myers .
