Cumby, Hopkins Co., Texas, Jan. 14---William M. Box died at his residence one and a half miles northeast of this place last Sunday night.
Mr. Box was born in Titus County, Oct. 9, 1850, moving to Hopkins County with his parents in 1851, since which time he had lived within three miles of this place.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nannie Stinson of Durant, Ok., and an elder sister who lives in New Mexico.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Presbyterian Church here, conducted by the Rev. W. E. Graham of Greenville, assisted by the Rev. J. H. Burman of Trinity University and the Rev. J. F. Pierce of Miller Grove, after which he was buried in Cumby Cemetery.
