William O. Bower Sr., 84, of 261 S. Walnut St., Slatington, died Thursday in Palmerton Hospital. He was the husband of the late Thelma I. (Hallman) Bower.
He was a line foreman for Pennsylvania Power & Light Co., Allentown for 35 years, retiring in 1971.
Born in Allenwood, Union County, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Bower) Bower.
Survivors: Sons, Bud O. Jr. at home, Timothy F. and Kip, both of Slatington; daughters, Kathleen, wife of David F. Wanamaker of Slatington R.2, Eileen, wife of Larry Kunkle of Craig, Colo., and Charleen D. of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Kenneth and Clifford, both of Montgomery, Lycoming County; sisters, Mrs. Marie Bender and Mrs. Catharine Leech, both of Watsontown, Northumberland County, Mrs. Naomi Kidd of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Francis Hill of South Williamsport, Lycoming County; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Call 1-2 p.m. Monday.
