Peter Bernard's Co., sick at Valley Forge Aug. 4, 1778, died Aug. 20, 1778 in service; Peachy Bledsoe Sgt. in same Co. (Bledsoes were neighbors and intermarried).

At a court held March 27, 1792
John Bolling made it appear to the Court that he is heir at law to William Bolling, his brother, who enlisted as soldier in the 2nd Virginia Regiment on Feb. 7, 1777 in the company commanded by Capt. Dudley and that William Bolling died in the month of July or August 1778 while in the service, which was proved by Peachy Bledsoe, who was a Sgt. in said Regiment. Ordered to be recorded.
Another William Bolling, s/o James Bolling of Pittsylvania County, VA was at Valley Forge in 1778. He died March 11, 1778.
