JW: William was not spoken much about amongst the family. In 1861, he was living at the home of his parents in Metherell, Calstock. We "may" have located him in 1871 working as an ironstone miner boarding at East Rosedale, Yorkshire with a Dickenson family. In 1891, at the Skelton York boarding with a family named Gilbert. It is also possible that while in Calstock he fathered a child, Annie Maria Beer, born about 1863-1868, though we do not believe he ever married or aat least not through the early 1900's.
