they resided in Chicago & Evanston, Illinois & Vermejo Park, NM Wm. H. Bartlett, son of a Peoria, IL merchant, and nephew of S.C. Bartlett, Pres. of Dartmouth College. Attended Dartmouth and graduated 1870. With a brother, S.C. Bartlett, started grain trading in Peoria, removing their business to Chicago in 1888 in partnership with Frank P. Frazier. The Bartlett-Frazier firm continued until 1910 when the partners retired. Mr. Bartlett established one of the largest ranches in the country at Vermejo Park, NM of nearly 350,000 acres. His daughter, Mrs. C.W.C. Deering lived in Honolulu, the sons Norman W. of Vermejo Park, NM and William H. Jr. of Santa Barbara, CA both died within a year or so after their father.
