A transcription of his will:


In the name of God amen I William Bach of the parish of Dudley in the County of Worcester Yeoman being Infirm and Weak of body but of good Understanding blessed be God for the Same do make this to be my last Will and Testament whereby I bequeath my Soul to God who gave it and my body to the Earth from Whence it came to be decently buried by my Executor hereafter named In such A way and after such a Manner as I shall direct and appoint in a Writing under my hand with the Same Witnesses to it as are to This present Will and as for that Worldly Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I dispose thereof as followeth first I give and bequeath Unto my Brother Josiah Bach five Shilling Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinsman William Bach son of my Brother Daniel Bach five shilling Item I give and bequeath unto the five other children of my Brother Daniel Bach Josiah Daniel Egrapina Hannah and Grizel Bach the sum of four pound a piece at their Respective ages of one and twenty yeares Item I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Joshua Darby the Sum of four pound Item I give and bequeath unto my Kinswoman Mary the Wife of John Woodhouse the Sum of four pound Item I give and bequeath unto Edmund and Catherina Darby Two of the Children of my Nephew Edmund Darby the Sum of fourty shilling apiece at their Respective ages of one and twenty years Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Nephew William Darby and to his heirs and Assigns for ever all that Now erected house wherein I the said William Bach and Thomas Dixon do now dwell With all other buildings and gardens thereunto belonging and allso one piece of land Joining to the Said garden called the Meadow now in the Holding of the Said Thomas Dixon with all and every of their appurtenances lyeing and being in the said parish of Dudley and County of Worcester Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Judith Cartwright the sum of five pound Item I give and bequeath unto Joseph Deeley of Cradly John Davis Thomas Orton and John Fellowe of the parish of Rowley Regis in the County of Stafford the sum of five Pound for the Use of that Dissenting Minister and his Successors that shall officiate at Cradley Meeting house Item I give devise and Bequeath unto my Said Nephew William Darby and to his heirs and Assigns for Ever all those my other houses Shops barnes Gardens pieces of Land with all and Every of their Appurtenances which are or of late were In the holding of John Hipkis Thomas Allchurch William Ingsley and Joseph Darby lyeing and being in the Said Parish of Rowley Regis and County of Stafford near to a Common called Ponseritt(?) Chase upon Condition and with this proviso that my Said Nephew William Darby do and shall pay unto the severall and Respective persons the Severall and respective Sums of money before Named in this my Will but if my Said Nephew William Darby Shall faile in the due payment of the Said Severall sumes of money to the persons aforesaid according to the true Intent and meaning of This my Will then in Such case I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto the aforesaid Josiah Daniel Egrapina Hannah and Grizel Bach Joshua Darby and Mary the Wife of John Woodhouse Edmund and Catherina Darby Judith Cartwright Joseph Deeley John Davis Thomas Orton and John Fellowe and to their heirs and assigns for Ever all those severall houses and buildings Gardens pieces of Land with all their Appurtenances In the possession of John Hipkis Thomas Allchurch William Ingsley and Joseph Darby being in the parish Of Rowley Regis and County aforesaid to be Equally divided amongst them Anythinge before in this my Will to the contrary in any Wise Notwithstanding and lastly I do hereby constitute and appointe my said Nephew William Darby full and Sole Executor of this my last Will whom I appoint to pay all my Just debts and funeral Expences as I shall direct in a writing under my hand as aforesaid and I do Hereby revoke and make voide all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the Seventeenth day of August Anno Dom. One Thousand Seven hundred and Thirty Signed Sealed published and declared to be the last Will and testament of the said William Bach in the presence of us as Witnesses and at the request and in the presence of the Testator William Bach *
