Mr. Arbuckle worked at Studebaker and Bendix. He was a United States Marine Veteran. “Uncle Billy” was an intelligent person who knew everything about Shakespeare, Aristotle and Socrates, current events and music. He was an accomplished pianist and he would spend many Christmas Eves entertaining guests with beautiful music. He loved books, especially the Bible long peaceful walks and ‘talking your ear off” in deep conversations. He also loved animals and was always feeding birds and squirrels. He had a keen sense of humor, and a compliment for everyone he meant. He was very proud that he met Pope Venerable Pius XII in 1948, while his Marine battalion was in the Mediterranean, near Italy. “Uncle Billy” was especially close to his great nephew, Will. Billy was a mentor and special buddy to Will. A special thank you to Bill Myers for tirelessly assisting Billy with life’s struggles, medical forms, and endless paper work. Also, a special thank you to Hannah @Beltone (Miami St.) for always showing special patience and kindness towards Billy (for his hearing aid care).
Finally, a special thank you to Philip Rodgers, for his special friendship.
Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation will take place.
