A William Anno is listed as living in Crawford CO., Ohio in the 1830 US Census . There are five people living in the household in 1830. There is one male 30 to 40 years of age born 1790 to 1800, and one women 20 to 30 years of age b orn 1800 to 1810. The two males and one female child were all under 5 years of age.Also, a William Anno and Thomas Anno purchased land in Menard County, Il linois in 1835. In 1839, the William Anno family moved to the Platte purchase in Missouri. The family located by IOWA Point Landing, the main river landin g in southern Holt CO., MO, where two major indian trails joined at the river bank. William died in 1840 in Missouri and his estate was probated in Buchan an County, MO., as Holt County had not been established. Ann Bunn Anno, the wi dow was left with seven children. The 1850 US Census for Missouri lists an Ann Anno living in Andrew Co., Jackson Township. William and Mary A. were report ed as having seven children. The children would have been born between 1828 and 1840. Janes and John the two oldest children were apprentisted out after the death of their father in 1840 to learn the skills of millwright, at which profession they became expert.
