RUGBY UNION LIFE MEMBER DIES Mr. William Henry Oscar Alderton, of Laman-street, Cook's Hill, who died at his home on Tuesday night, was a life member of Newcastle Rugby Union, and had been associated with the code in this district for many years. He was 66. He was a member of the management and judiciary committees, and a senior vice-president of Merewether-Carlton Club. He donated the Alderton Cup for annual competition several years ago. After a service at St. John's Church of England, Parry-street, the funeral was to Beresfield Crematorium yesterday.
