    Husband of Catherine Jane Harris, whom he married August 14, 1845. In 1860, he was a foundry worker living in Wrightsville. He stood 5' 10" tall and had dark hair and dark eyes.

    A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Wrightsville August 22, 1861, with Co. I, 76th Pa Inf, as a private but was promoted to corporal, date unknown. Died of chronic diarrhea while at home on furlough, although military records say he was discharged November 28, 1864.
