DEATH: This was in today's newspaper, The Decatur Daily, Thurs. Mar 8, 2001 WILLIAM CHARLES ADAY age 85, retired Farmer Trinity- Graveside service for William Charles Aday, 85 of Hillsboro, will be Friday at 11 AM at Decatur City Cemetery with Kirk Bobo Officiating and Parkway Funeral HOme directing. Mr. Aday died Wednesday, Mar 7, 2001 at Mountainview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Winchester, TN. He was born Apr 14, 1915 in Lawrence County (AL) to William H. ADAY and Delia Moody ADAY. He retired as a farmer and waas a member of the Church of Christ at Piney Grove. Survivors include his wife, Sybie ADY; one son, Charles Aday of Hillsboro; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be L.A. Sparks, A.C. Roden, Robert Smith, Milton Letson and John Jody Letson [edit] =======Note: Hillsboro, AL is a small community just at the NorthEastern border of Lawrence Co, AL with Morgan Co, AL. This group of the ADAY family lived in the area as far back as the John Aday who got a land grant in 1861 near Masterson's Mill. Some had their mailing address as Trinity, which is in Morgan Co, AL and was an older community than Hillsboro. They are descendants of Walter Aday and Mary Maxey of VA, TN and AL. |
