- ↑ «i»First stamvader is Johannes Augustus Dreyer from Grube in Holstein, Germany. He was born on 1 January 1968 from the minister Johannes D and Anna Catharina Jansen. Arrived at the Cape in 1713 as a member of the 'adelbors'. Give his name at the time as Isaac Dalgue. Worked as a messenger of Stellenbosch and Drakenstein in 1715. Citizen in 1724 and messenger of the weesmeester. Married to Sara van Wyk on 31 January 1716. 4 children from the marriage. Passed away on 6 April 1759.
Second stamvader is Christoffel Dreyer from Dreher in Prussian Holland. Married on 26 October 1800 to Susanna Aletta van der Westhuizen. 2 children from the marriage.
