Willard A Wendler

Willard A Wendler, 77, of CR 59, Fremont, died Thursday, May 22, 200 3, in St. Charles Hospital, Oregon.

He was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Gibsonburg to Benjamin H and Bessie A (Hutc hinson) Wendler. They are deceased. He married Margaret M Reidlinger Au g. 29, 1947, in Gibsonburg Methodist Church. She survives in Fremont.

Other survivors include: a son, Mark of Fremont; three daughters, Judith T rzeciak of Colorado Springs, Colo, Cynthia Kin of Tiffin and Rebecca DeRoa ds of Milford Center; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a b rother, Harry Wendler of Villa Park, Calif.

He served in the U.S Navy during World War II; he received the American Ar ea Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon with three stars, Philippine Libera tion Ribbon with one star and the World War II Victory Medal.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hayes Memorial Unit ed Methodist Church, Fremont, with family and friends meeting one hour pri or to the service. A military graveside service will be provided by the Fr emont VFW and the American Legion at the Four Mile House Cemetery, Fremont .

Arrangements are being handled by the Wonderly-Horvath Funeral Home, Fremo nt.
