In 1865, Wilbury S. Hutchings of Penobscot paid a $10.00 tax for a license as a "manufacturer." He was not taxed for a carriage, watch, or piano. In 1866, a "W. S. Hutchings" of Penobscot was taxed for a manufacturer's license. Living in Penobscot at 1870 census. References
