OBITUARY
Welton Buck Adams was born December 15, 1852 near Buckton Station, seven miles north west of Front Royal, the county seat of Warren County, Virginia and died at his home two miles east of Granger December 2, 1922.
He came west in May 1872 and went to work for Thomas Horn near Granger in June of the same year.
He was married to Mrs. Nannie B. Horn, of near Granger on December 21, 1875 and to this union five children were born.
He was universally respected for his honesty and veracity, he prided himself in later years on keeping out of debt.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and five children. One son, Thomas W. Adams of Calipatria, California; Mrs. Lucy Long of near Granger, Missouri who was with him in his last sickness; Mrs. Ada Powell of Gallup, New Mexico; Mrs. Dora Hughes and Mrs. Kate Rench of Winslow, Arizona, the latter being present for the funeral services. He also leaves seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at his home two miles east of Granger, Monday, December 4, at one o'clock, conducted by Reverend James Schultz and his body was laid to rest in the Black Oak Cemetery. The floral offerings were beautiful.
